Antonio Hurtado is a Houston-based photographer and artist whose work explores intimacy, relationships, and identity through staged and collaborative portraiture. Drawing from his background as a painter, he approaches photography through gesture, symbolism, and the composition of the figure, often echoing the visual language of art history.

Working closely with his wife and collaborator, Candace, he creates images that move between the personal and the constructed, blurring the line between what is lived and what is imagined.

His work has been exhibited at the Houston Center for Photography and Lawndale Art Center. He is currently pursuing an MFA in Photography at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
